About PTS Ltd
Pavement Testing Services Ltd (PTS) was formed in 2002, starting with one Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). We have grown year on year becoming one of the UK’s leading providers of highway infrastructure surveys, investigations, and assessments, with associated materials testing carried out in our UKAS Accredited Laboratory. Our accreditation is limited to those activities described on our 4706 UKAS schedule of accreditation.
PTS is a family-orientated business, with offices in Preston, Chichester, and the Midlands. We run our business with the emphasis firmly on health and wellbeing. We ensure that Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and engagement are at the heart of everything we do!
Our aim is to make PTS an Employer of Choice in the Civil Engineering sector, always aspiring to develop our people, recognising achievements, and communicating effectively, keeping engagement and morale high.
Our retention is high and sickness absences are low, these alone show the dedication and commitment within the company at all levels. We have introduced an Employee Assistance Programme - a state-of-the-art HR system. We have also sponsored members of our teams to undertake Civil Engineering Degrees at different levels, which will help them grow within the Civil Engineering industry.

Staff undergo regular EDI training, plus we operate an assured employee assistance programme to help employees with issues affecting their health and general wellbeing. We continuously invest in our staff, research, and development, cutting edge technology and equipment whilst delivering a service recognised for outstanding levels of competence and professionalism.
Our customers include Highways England, DBFO Companies, Ministry of Defence, numerous Highway Authorities, airport operators, Tier One contractors through to material producers and suppliers. These customers utilise our comprehensive range of capabilities to inform, plan and prioritise. Our results help to identify cost effective solutions and ensure independent and objective quality assurance and control. Listening to customers and working with them to meet needs and exceed expectations is at the core of PTS’ ethos.
