UKPMS represents the gold standard for highway condition assessments in the UK, with the survey guidance and audit regime having been developed over several years through collaboration between industry experts in the fields of pavement engineering, highways assessment, highways maintenance, and asset management.
Overseen by the Road Condition Management Group, and the Visual Survey Sub Group, the value in UKPMS lies in the ability of the industry to regulate private contractors and suppliers to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to infrastructure assessments is adopted, which in turn supports effective highways maintenance, cost-effective lifecycle planning and wider asset management, alongside local and national benchmarking which is also significant for Central Government funding allocations. PTS are pleased to offer a full suite of accredited UKPMS condition surveys alongside our existing pavement engineering and structural surveying services.
